ABOUT DAUB® BRUSHES

For artists, with love

My name is Paolo, and I design things... Even tools for people who draw!
My journey with digital media began at sixteen, with my first graphics tablet and long nights experimenting in Fauve Matisse and Painter. I wasn’t just learning software I was trying to understand how tools shape gestures, and how interfaces influence the way we think and create.

In 2014, I released my first brush set for Clip Studio Paint under the DAUB® name. What started as an experiment quickly evolved into a deeper exploration of digital materiality. Soon after, I began collaborating with Serif Ltd., contributing to the development of the Affinity media library, improvements to the raster engine, and the user interface of Affinity Photo for iPad.

DAUB tools are built at the intersection of tradition and code. They are developed alongside traditional artists, digital professionals, and curious creators, shaped by real feedback and real practice. The aim is simple: tools that feel alive in the hand, expressive and responsive to intent, and technically precise without ever getting in the way.

Terms and Conditions

Please accept the following terms of use of the brushes you have purchased. All sets are licensed as Single User, so you cannot share them with your friends or colleagues.

If you are a Creative Agency or a School please feel free to contact me for Multiple License discounts.

Customers who purchased the materials are considered to agree on the terms of use.



1. Scope of permission for use of the brushes

Users can import the brushes, use for their own works, and transmit publicly, upload, distribute, rent, and lease the works created with.

  • Users can transmit publicly, upload, distribute, rent, lease artworks created using the brushes.
  • Users can use the brushes without a limitation of period and number of times.
  • Users can use the brushes for any commercial purposes.
  • Users cannot sublicense the brushes.
  • Users cannot duplicate/rename/modify the brushes for reselling purposes.
  • Users cannot include the brushes (entire sets or even single ones) in their commercial products.

2. Restrictions

Users cannot do the following acts and the acts that may fall into the following.

  • Users cannot use the brushes for damaging the fame and the trust of Paolo Limoncelli or any unlawful purpose.
  • Users cannot distribute, transfer, rent, or license the brushes by duplicating and transmitting publicly the materials beyond the scope of permission set in the previous clause regardless of whether the brushes are modified or altered.

3. Change of terms of use

Updated terms of use will be effective and applied once downloaded by the customer.

What information DAUB Brushes collects about you

DAUB Brushes does not collect any kind of data from visitors and doesn't use cookies.
This website is a simple showcase, redirecting to Gumroad store so please refer to Gumroad's privacy policy.

DAUB Brushes doesn’t ask for or keep anyone’s mailing addresses, names and any other kind of data tracking in this website.

What information from Gumroad are undisclosed to DAUB Brushes

The purchase you're making is managed and stored by Gumroad.
DAUB Brushes is only allowed to see the email address associated with the transaction.
Payment method and other data such as Credit Card Number are not shared with DAUB Brushes.
DAUB offers a digital products, so no shipment details are required and shared.

How DAUB Brushes uses your email
